Abstract:
Lean as a process optimization philosophy has continued to be seen as the ‘magic wand’ for success in most industry today. Its successful implementation has evidently resulted in better, safer, faster and cost effective business and industrial performance worldwide. This paper looks at the use of the ‘Leadership People Process Outcome’ model in the successful implementation of lean. Unlike earlier models based on production, business and quality excellence which are dogmatic in approach, the ‘Leadership People Process Outcome’ model is flexible and easily adaptable. This paper introduces the use of the Lean ‘Leadership People Process Outcome’ (LPPO) implementation model with wins from practical case study used.
