Abstract:
This paper deals with study of metal foam wick structure used for heat pipe applications. In this study the method used to fabricate wick structures is discussed. The microstructure of copper foam is presented. The fluid flow characteristic study of metal foam has been carried out analytically. The effective thermal conductivity of metal foam wick is finally determined.
