Abstract:
The ZnO nanofiber thin film has been deposited on glass substrate by spray pyrolysis technique. The structural properties of annealed ZnO nanostructured thin films have been investigated by XRD techniques. The XRD spectra of annealed ZnO thin films are polycrystalline with the hexagonal structure and showed a preferred orientation along (002) direction for films annealed at 450˚C for I hr . Further increase in annealing time changes the preferred orientation to (100) direction . The SEM image of 4hrs annealed ZnO thin films showed the formation of ZnO nanofiber with an average diameter approximately 850 nm. The optical properties of annealed films have been investigated by UV-Visible spectrophotometer, showed a variation in the band gap between 3.289 eV and 3.20 eV. The electrical conductivity of the as grown and annealed films was studied.
