Abstract: The airplane reservoir, which serves to balance the hydraulic pressure of various hydraulic devices in the cabin and to store the hydraulic oil, is operated by the internal piston operation. However, since it operates in an environment of high temperature and humidity, it may cause flaking of the inner surface during operation. So, anodizing surface treatment is applied to improve the corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance for smooth operation. However, anodizing increases surface roughness. Accordingly, polishing process which improves the surface roughness after anodizing is important. But, the existing polishing process is performed by manually, resulting in an inefficient process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop the superfinishing machine for automating polishing process and to select the optimum superfinishing conditions to improve the surface roughness after anodizing surface treatment using the Design of Experiment. And to secure the uniformity of the surface after polishing using the selected conditions.
