Abstract:
We design a multi-wavelength fiber laser based on a semiconductor optical amplifier and a double-pass Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The components we used also including a piece of polarization maintaining fiber, an optical isolator, a polarization controller, a broadband fiber mirror and two optical couplers. The proposed laser can achieve stable operation with 13 and 33 channel numbers in standard wavelength division multiplexing channel spacing of 0.8 and 0.4 nm by using different length of PMF, respectively.
