Abstract:
Vast amount of evidence suggest that the global climate changes are already affecting many environmental and social systems. This study develops a data integration and big data mining framework for studying climate change impacts on many complex systems including but not limited to public health, bio-security, agriculture, global economy, environment, etc. Different phases of the data integration and mining process have been identified and shown how these phases are connected together in generating this decision making framework. Further it identifies limitations in current data collection processes and provides recommendations to facilitate such an integrated approach widely. A simple case study was conducted to demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed framework.
