Abstract:
Oxazepine is a seven membered heterocycle containing five carbon atoms, one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom with three double bonds. Oxazepine and its derivatives found to have various activities like enzyme inhibition, antidepressant action, analgesic action, and anti psychotic action. Mainly, the oxazepine derivatives are used as psychoactive agents as dibenzoxazepine. Examples, include loxapine succinate (1) is a typical antipsychotic agent and amoxapine (2) is an antidepressant . According to Dhanya Sunil (3)et al study in 2014 proved that “Oxazepine Derivative as an Antitumor Agent and Snail1 Inhibitor against Human Colorectal Adenocarcinoma”. Invitro study of Abdul said (4) et al in 2010 synthesized and conducted Inhibition effect of 1,3-Oxazepine derivative on AST and ALT activities ound to show promising effects. In 2012 A. A. Mukhlus(5) et al synthesized new oxazepine derivatives and found to have excellent activity against Escherichia coli(G-) and Staphylococcus aureus(G+). Aim/Objectives: To synthesize 25 oxazepine derivatives ,to do structural characterization spectrophotometrically and to screen newly synthesized compounds for anti-oxidant and antiinflammatory activity
Keywords: Oxazepine, Anti-oxidant, Anti-inflammatory.
