Impact of Foreign Direct Investment to Economic Growth of Country in Azerbaijan: Problems and Solutions

Abstract:

Purpose of the research. The purpose of the research is to analyze the role of foreign direct investments to economic growth in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the aim of the research is to examine the problems of foreign direct investment caused by both the country and companies. There was made SWOT analysis of current situation of FDI in Azerbaijan in this article. Hypothesis of research. Although a positive effects of FDI on economic growth of country in Azerbaijan, be weighted in a single sector and collected in a one region raises risks for the country’s economy. Methods of research. There was made critical resource analysis in this article. International companies’ investors and managers were interviewed as a method. It was also analyzed resources and gathered information from authorized individuals of relevant government agencies, NGO managers and other researchers by interviewing.
