Abstract:
The lack of the nonrenewable local energy resources in Israel has also forced the state to devote various efforts for the ‘green’ energy development, including installations both in the solar and in the wind energy, with a purpose to improve the situation.
In the current research, we have fulfilled the wind primary parameters estimation for this area, using the Meteorological Service data. We have developed the Weibull distribution statistical model describing how often a wind of different speeds will blow at the given location. The obtained results implicitly demonstrate the relevance of wind energy exploitation in Israel.
