Abstract:
Cement dust as side product from cement factories create dangerous pollution to the air and to the environment .Extensive research carried out to convert this material to be a useful material .A new brick was manufactured and to be used in construction seemed to be successful. The cement also used as a filler material instead of the sand in concrete mixings. A new system was designed to convert the cement dust into Portland cement .Finally the cement dust was used to reduce the swelling properties of expansive soils where distinctive decrease was noticed in the swelling potential when mixing the cement dust or embedded as columns in the expansive soils.
