Abstract: The paper presents the study on the performance of two BIPV systems under the partial shade conditions. Two systems are identical, each consisting of 1.792kWp amorphous silicon(a-Si) triple junctions thin-film PV modules installed on a linkway between two buildings. The analytic results of their yearly operation and solar accesses using Solmetric SunEye help understand the effect of partial shade on the energy yield of a BIPV system.
