Conducting polymer/metal oxide composites have been studied to make new electrode materials which have improved properties than pristine conducting polymer and inorganic composites. Polyaniline is one of the most promising conducting polymers due to its high electrical conductivity, special doping mechanism, environmental stability and good solution processability. Titanium oxide has excellent photocatalytic and electric properties, environmental friendliness and higher lithium intercalation potential.

In this study, we prepared polyaniline/titanium oxide composites with a chemical oxidation polymerization in various concentration of para toluenesulfonic acid (p-TSA). Morphological, crystalline and electrochemical properties of the prepared composites were investigated. We hope these electrodes can be applied to supercapacitors which could be one of the power source of auxiliary power unit (APU) by a combination of renewable or sustainable energy devices.
