Abstract: Ethanol fermentation by Zymomonasmobilis (MTCC 92) utilizing orange peel waste and mahula flower as substrate were studied. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD) were chosen to evaluate and optimize the maximum bioethanol production. RSM was applied for investigating the influence of substrate concentration, pH and incubation time. The perfect conditions for ethanol production using mahula flower and orange peel waste as substrate were 23.4{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} of substrate, 8.4 pH, 27 hrs fermentation time, and achieving 19 g L-1 from optimal conditions. In these experiments the results shows the satisfactory correlation between the observed values with predicted one.
