Abstract: This study analyzed the relationship of occupationalculture and stress of chefs on occupational commitment inMalaysian hotel industry. On the basis of previous studies, threedimensions of occupational culture and three dimensions ofoccupational commitment were analyzed using multipleregression analysis method. The participants were 62 Chef departie and Sous chef from five star hotels within GoldenTriangle, Malaysia. The results of the study indicate that there isa significant relationship between occupational culture andoccupational commitment, it is also shows through this study thatoccupational stress mediates the relationship of occupationalculture and occupational commitment.
