Abstract: Researches found that affective commitment was most effective for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with Gen Ys, and the present paper examines the current attitude and future commitment of Chinese Gen Ys towards Airbnb. Five interviews were conducted with Gen Ys from Shenzhen, with a young demographic profile where the Gen Ys make up more than 35{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} of its population. The result showed that although Chinese Gen Ys have positive current attitude towards Airbnb, the commitment towards Airbnb is calculative and not affective
