Abstract: This paper builds an automotive web telematics network management system based on the Android platform ported to ARM embedded systems. The system can enhance the control of a user over his/her vehicle by promptly displaying to the user relevant information; the user can also achieve the information for legal or management purposes. More precisely, the user can interact with the system via a touch screen which provides him/her with traffic records combined with GPS maps and display OBD-related statuses of the vehicle, including: speed, rotation per minute, tire pressure, temperature, and fuel, so that he/her can make proper driving decisions according to the information about the vehicle. In addition, it also provides a way to upload data to a remote server achieving complete driving records for bookkeeping or analyzing driving behaviors.
