Abstract:

When technology and education are combined using pensive, student centered and learner focused design the results can provide previously impossible opportunities for students and teachers. Flexible simulative technologies allow teachers to deliver content in a way they would never have been able to previously, and simultaneously provide students with the education they need in an engaged fashion. Healthcare education is in the throes of a transformation between traditional simulation (injecting the orange) and high fidelity simulation with the opportunity to take advantage of the best of simulated instruction and the best of face-to-face instruction.
