Abstract: EBP has become an integral part of healthcare organisations; however, there are technical difficulties to implementing it in healthcare organizations with limited resources. Thus, it is important to consider how healthcare organizations with limited resources can implement EBP efficiently and at a low cost, in a manner that will bring them up to date with best practice. This paper will explore the lessons learnt during implementing evidence-based champions at a healthcare organization with limited resources. The paper’s focus will be to look at what steps an organization can take to develop evidence-based champions. These lessons can be applied to any healthcare organization, regardless of their technical infrastructure already in place.
