Abstract: This descriptive research aimed to study the satisfaction in preceptor nurse roles in nursing administration practicum field perceived by senior students at Sri Mahasarakham Nursing College. The sample consisted of 111 senior student nurses in class 2009. The satisfaction in preceptor nurse roles questionnaires was used to collect data which composed of seven aspects: nurse practitioner role, instructor role, counselor role, supporter role, adviser role, researcher role and coaching role. The data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The results revealed that the overall mean of the satisfaction in preceptor nurse roles in nursing administration practicum field perceived by senior students had a high score ( x = 4.36, S.D. = 0.56). The dimension of satisfaction with adviser role had a highest score ( x = 4.45, S.D. = 0.55), followed by a coaching role and the counselor role ( x = 4.40, S.D. = 0.55). The satisfaction in researcher role had the low score ( x = 4.24, S.D. = 0.62) Nursing college must provide learning activity to promote the optimal nursing roles. In addition, encourage student nurses researcher role to achieved learning objective is needed.
