Abstract: This paper presents the research process and results developed with the objective of discussing the possibilities and limits of an interactive database of land value capture tools in Latin American cities. The research starts with the recognition of the importance of the approximation between academic research and the practical demands of city management. Using Carto free software, relevant cases information of land value capture was organized on a virtual platform. The data sources consisted of documents available on websites, supplemented by field research with municipal administrations. The research results should contribute to the dissemination of successful land value capture policies aimed at financing urban development.
